mushrooming

( My biggest pick)

Autumn is approaching and temperature is dropping fast What an awesome sight, the trees are transforming, shattering the leaves from its branches, We were out in the woods one weekend, venturing with our good friend - J and his sister - mushrooming.

Back home picking up mushrooms in the wild and eating them is a suicide missions
Not many gurus around to tell u which mushrooms are edible.

J and Sis gave us some useful tips to begin - :)
Rule No 1.
Everything that looks brown on the top and white at the bottom are safe to eat
Rule No 2.
Anything colorful….. it is only for display
Rule No. 3
Low quality mushroom always taste bitter
Rule No. 4
Always ask if not sure..

Wiffy was the first to pick up a Mushroom and sense of satisfaction surrounds the woods
Later follow my MIL & then me - the pick of the day- "Big one" - size of a hand
We searched around for few hours before call it a day.
We had 1kg of mushrooms. We cooked them that day -it was delicious...and still alive to tell the tale. :)
